Have the large industrial forestry companies finally started follow their example? Some three years ago I have not yet noticed that near Nanaimo:

I like the idea of a working forest. But why more original virgin forest areas could not have been preserved forever, for future generation to be able to experience them, and studies of how the old-growth forest work and can be useful without logging.

Do some woodlot operators try some alternative uses of forests beside the traditional timber harvesting? Such as nut and berry harvesting, permaculture?</description>
